Genuine Music Ageny werd in 1989 opgericht door bluesmuzikant John Zwetsloot.
Na een periode als geluidstechnicus trad hij van 1979 tot 1992 op als bassist in diverse bluesbands.
Meeste optredens werden verzorgd met Keith Dunn / John Packer Band, Magic Frankie & the Blues Disease, South Side Blues Band en McAnthony & Friends. Vanaf 1992 tot heden is John Zwetsloot aktief als gitarist in de duo’s Cleanhead & Barefoot ( americana / blues ) en Spider & the Fly ( Stones repertoire ). Met deze bands en duo’s optredens verzorgd in binnen- en buitenland.

Genuine Music Agency verzorgde tot 2021 management, promotie muziekgroepen, adviezen, programmering van festivals en afhandeling kontrakten.
Momenteel is John Zwetsloot enkel aktief als gitarist/bassist in diverse combinaties.
