This statement of bluesminstrel Doug Macleod could be applicable on Fat Harry's playing. Trying to keep the feeling, more than pure technique, is the first condition for this complicated musical form.

Complicated? Yes because contemporary blues is no longer, sad, three chord structured music. Neither is Fat Harry's music.

Their sound is based on the Chicago clubsound, mixed with influences of funk, jazz and soul.
Crying guitar licks and sticky Hammond chops betray their influences : Albert, B.B. and Freddie King, Lucky Peterson, and Harry's biggest influence: Joe Louis Walker.
