De uit Colorado afkomstige zanger/gitarist Chris Daniels is in ons land geen onbekende meer. Met zijn muziek, een mix van blues, folk, cajun, jazz en rock (om enkele ingrediënten te noemen), heeft Daniels een vaste schare bewonderaars aan zich weten te binden.

Op zijn cd ‘The Spark' heeft Daniels zijn Stratocaster ingeruild voor een akoestische gitaar, die hij tot nu toe eigenlijk niet gebruikte op zijn platen. Een aantal songs op deze cd zijn van zijn eigen hand, naast natuurlijk prachtige nummers van Dave Steen (songwriter voor Coco Montoya) en Gary Nicholson (songwriter voor Delbert McClinton, Bonnie Raitt e.a.)

Ten slotte heeft Daniels een groot aantal vrienden uitgenodigd: o.a. Sonny Landreth, Sam Bush (New Grass Revival, Lyle Lovett), Bill Payne (Little Feat), Steve Riley (Mamou Playboys), Mollie O'Brien en Tony Furtado. Al deze gasten passen moeiteloos in het geheel: ze worden daar ingezet waar het nummer er om vraagt, en nergens krijgen ze de overhand - Daniels blijft de aimabele bandleider.

Chris Daniels is al decennia-lang een gevestigde naam in de wereld van de blues en heeft zeer goed ontvangen cd's op zijn naam staan.
Hij is een graaggeziene gast op Europese podia en een van de meest opwindende rhythm & blues artiesten uit de States.
